Rare Chance for good Investments
71 HE subscriber bus laid out, and now cfl'ern for
•ale at reasonable prices and on accommodating
terms, One hundred and ten building Lots, on that
handsome level ground between Braddock ntreet and
the Monongahela river. They are about one-child of
a mils from the city line, and arc situated in thdi part
of the firm city district which will probably noon be
annexed to the city as the Seventh Wald. Nu pro
: perty in the suburbs ponsessessuporior advent anges, nor
hos any heretofore been laid out with so liberal an al.
lewencc of wide streets; Braddock is from One hun
dred and twenty to about one hundred and ninety feet
wide, and Beelen, Commerce, Brady, Columbus and
Water streets all wide avenues. Most of the lots have
tiro fronts, and no they are of various sizes, and will
be sold, one lot, with the privilege of four or five; early
apnlicants can be accommodated to stilt their own
views of improvement. Persons who desire to build
or to make secure investments in property that is sure
to advance in value, and particulnrly those who intend
to erect manufactories, would do well to view these
Leta, and examine the draft, before purchasing else
where. The survey for the Baltimore and Ohio Rail
Road and the t ail road survey by the State of Penn
sylvania wore both made alongside of this property,
and it is generally considered that Braddock street,
or the ground immediately alongside of it, affords the
onlyeligible route for a Rail Road from Pittsburgh to
the East. Coal can be delivered on this propet iy at
much less coil than on the Allegheny tiver, and there
is always deep water at this part of the river.

THE Sin of Ignorance is easily forgiven. Many of
1 the "tiostrums"of the present day arc put nut by
persons who have no knowledge of the science ofmedi
rine in theory or !make, and in order to hide theirig
norance cry outloudlyagainstthe "Ignorant Pretend
erg," and bribe others to boast fur them, which oft
times has gulled the unsuspecting. and for want of a
proper knowledge of the diseases they pretend to core,
no doubt think they cure when they do not, therefore
they ere to be pitied, but not hulls. much as t hose who
take their '•miserable Compounds," but they not only
lose their money, but miss the advancer° of that ne
cessary advice which thn real practical physician, is
always able to give. We look to the tailor for un im
provement in the mode ofdress; to the medical man for,
an improvement in the science of medicine—and this
accounts for the great superiority of Dr Swayne's
Compound Syrup of Wild Cherry over all other
medicines ever offered to the public for the cure of all
diseases of the Lungs and Breast, Coughs, Colds,
Consumption, Asthma, Spitting Blood, Liver Corn
plaint, Pain in the Side and Breast, Broken Constitu
tion, ekc. Remember always to inquire for the name
of Dr Sterryne. a. all preparations which have the

- . . •
The general sense of the merit of the work is evi
dent by the exhaustion of the two former editions and
the call fora new one. The requisites of such a bOok
are, that it should ire adapted to popuLarnse. In both
respects, you appear to have succeeded, and to have
obtained the approbation of the profession, and the
confidence of the public. In my opinion, you are
foully entitled to boa. So far as it has been in my
power to examine them, the forms ere legally accu
rate and sufficient, sod they are so arranged as to
be easily under stood and applied, thus affording a safe
and convenient guide for all who in their own con
cerns or in the concerns of others, have occasion to
prepare any of tire papers required in the doily trans.
actions of business. They will be especially useful
to magistrates, notaries, and conveyancers, and in
public institutions.
1 he paper and printing, allow me to add, are worthy
of cam mend mien. being Bruck superior to the ordinary
style of execution of such works.
Yours, very truly,
