in the Allegheny river. The verdict was, accidental
drowning. He was a man about 25 years old. It
is supposed dm his horse mumbled while he was cros
sing from the Allegheny to Herr's Island, and Ken.

lowing resolution was adopted.
Resolved, That the Ist Chief Engineer bo, and hu
hereby is instructed to order a meeting of the Compa
nies, composing the Firemen's Association, on the
second Saturday of July, for the purples , . of Parade
and Inspection, and that they be requested to appear
without horses.
In pursuance of the above resolution adopted by
the Fireman's Acmciatiun, the several Fite Compa.
etas are requested to appear on the usual parade
ground, (Liberty strect,) no Saturday next, July 12th,
at 2 o'clock, P. M.

Members of the said Company, the whole enpai.l bal
ance of their respective Notes, and in addition thereto
the sum of cne dollar on every hunched dollars by
them respectively insured, and that the same be paid
on or Wore the 10th of July next, to the Secretary
