MONDAY MORNING, JUNE 16, 1845
I tTSBURGH BOARD OF TRADE.
COMMITTEE TOR JUTE.
M. Robertson, W. B. Scaife, R. E. Sellers
far The prcoceedings of the Fifth Ward, will appear
to-morrow
THXATRE.-To-night the managers present one of
the most attractive bills that has been Monett out this
season. The piece of Don Cesar De Bar.an, has
been received in all the principal Theatres of the Uni
on with great applause, and has on no 'occasion failed t.
call forth the admiration of the audience. The other
portions of the entertainment are highly interesting,
and should ensure en overflowing house.
IlarMany of our wholesale Grocers and Produc.
dealers have suffered grestly by the late drought on ac
count of the low stage of water which prevented them
from receiving their expected supplies of Sugar, Mo
lasses, Tobacco, &c. from below. Large quantities
of these articles were destroyed by the great fire and
there is scarcely sufficient to meet the demand.
However, we have now a prospect of a good stage
of water, which we hope will enable our disappointed
merchants to make up their customary stock of these
articles.
The beetle of many of those who suffered by
the Sr.. were made glad, during the pant week, by the
labors of the distribution Committee. Of course their
dividends did not any thing like cover their losses, but
still it was something to commence again a course of
industry by which they expect to replace what they
have lust.
