tiepautherising the Aqueduct Committee to take the
Aqueduct from Mr Rocatatio, the Contractor. A
report was also presented from Messrs Wade & Eich-,
boo, stating that Mr Rnebling bed fully complied
with his contract, and in some instances more than
csj*lit4 with it. These papers, so creditable to the
Ceettractitr, were read twice and laid over.

prietors of the Steam Boat Lake Erie have from and
after this date changed their hours., and in futuro will
leave
Pittsburgh for Beaver at 3 o'clock, P. M., and
Beaver at 8 o'clack, A. M. daily, (Sundays excepted.)
It will appear manifest upon examination, that the
owners of the steamers Michigan and Wisconsin, are
determined to drive from the tied(' the Steamboat Lake
Erie; their course has been and now continues in full
vigor to monopolize the whole business; they were not
satisfied with having the lion's share of trade and
choice of hours in leaving Pittsburgh and Beaver, but
now publicly and plainly say the3.will drive the Lake
Erie from the river—a generous public will decide.—
Freights and passengers for all ports on River and Lake,
carried on reasonable terms as heretofore. Apply to
