On his return,tbe roof near the lower chimney was on fire, and before the hands could be gathered the fire had got so far under way a• to reader it impossible to save the Rolling Mill building which was burnt down The Nail Factory, an extensive building adjoining it on we side, and a Warehouse containing about 200 tom of Iron en the o her aide, separated from the Mill by a Darrow street, were both saved by the very great exertions of the hands and people of Birming ham.
