trivet dollars was on Wednesday made up by Report
ers of the City of New York, and sent by the senior
member of their corps, Major Frail, to the widow of
tbe late R S Wilson, Esq., whose pecuniary embarass
ments impelled him to the commission of suicide a few
days since. A subsci iption for the aid of the bereaved
family was also opened at the Law Library, and a
considerable sum realised.

Elisabeth Walker, in the 64th year of her age.
The regular monthly meeting of the Cheir .:Nlaker's
Society of Pittsburgh and Allegheny, will be held at

THE public are respectfully informed that the pro
prietors of the Steam Boat Lithe Erie have from and
after this date changed their hours, and in future will
Pittsburgh for Beaver at :3 o'clock, P. M., and
Beaver at 8 o'clock, A. M. daily, (Sundays excepted.)
It will appear manifest upon examination, that the
owners of the steamers Michigan and Wisconsin, are
determined to drive from the code the Steamboat Lake
Erie; their course has been and now continues in full
vigor to monopolize the whole business; they were not
satisfied with having the lion's share of trade and
choice of hours in leaving Pittsburgh and Beaver, hut
now publicly and plainly say they will drive the Lake
Erie from the river—a generous public will decide.--
Freights and passengers (oral! ports on River and Lake,
carried on reasonable terms as heretofore. Apply to
