it will be our aim to elevate and restore it to the high

the eternal truths of nature, delivered with flowing
speech and graceful action; to behold in a mirror, the

humor and the sparkling wit, the keen satire and the
withering sarcasm—to admire the well turned period,

after thiddate changed their hours, and in future will
leave
Pittsburgh for Beaver at 3 o'clock, P. M., and

It will appear manifest upon examination, that the
owners of the steamers Michigan and Vi'isconsin, are
determined to drive from the !Jade the Steamboat Lasko
Erie; their course has been and now continues in full
vigor to monopolise the whole business; they were not
satisfied with having the lion's share of trade and
choice of hours in leaving Pittsburgh and B , but
now publicly and plainly say they will drive the Lake
Erie from the river—a generous public will decide.—
