SYMPTOMS OF A DISEASED LIVER.—Pain
in the right side, under the edge of the ribs, in
creased on pressure; sometimes the pain is in the left
side; the patient is rarely able to lie on the left side;
sometimes the pain is felt under the shoulder blade,
and it frequently extends to the top of the shoulder,
and is sotnetimPs mistaken for the rheumatism in the
right arm. The stomach is affecied with the loss of
appetite and sickness; the bowels, in general, esteems.
tive, sometimes alternating with lax; the head is troub
led with pain accompanied with a dull, heavy seneatien
in the back part. There is generally ix eonsidemble
loss of memory; accompanied with a painful sensation
of ha% ing left something undone which ought to have
been done. A slight dry cough is sometimes an atten
dant. The patient complains of weariness and debili
ty; he is easily startled, his feet are cold or burning,
end be complains of a prickly sensation of the skin;
his spirits are low; and although he is satisfied that
exercise would be beneficial to him, yet he can scarce
ly summon up fortitude enough to try it. Intact, ha
mistrusts ep.cry remedy. Several of the above amp.
toms attend the disease, but cases have.occurred where
few of them existed, yet examination of the body after
death has shown the liver to have been es.teneively de.
ranged.
CERTIFICATES.
Thii is to certify, that having been associated with
Dr M'Laile in the practice of medicine for nearly two
and a half yew*, I have had many upportoikie* o of
witnessing the good effects of his Liver Pills, and I
believe they have cured and relieved a much • larger
proportion of the diseases of the liver, data I crave
known cured and relieved by any other comae of treat
merit. OLIVER MORGAN.
Thi• is to certify that a niece of mine was very ill
with a Liver Complaint. She obtained one box of
I‘l'Lane's Liver Pills, which she took, and received
much benefit from the same. She is now taki. the
second box, and is nearly recovered, and I Wilma it
was the Pills that relieved her, as she took no other
medicine. I would therefore cheerfully recommend
them to those laboring under that disease.
I hereby cenify that T hare been afflicted for six
years with a Liver Complaint, and have applied to dif
ferent physicians, and all to little or no effect, until I
made use of Dr AP Lane's Liver Pills. In taking
too boxes of them, I eta nearly restored to perfect
health. S DAVIS.
Mr Jonathan Kidd:—Sir, f call to inform you of the
virtues of Dr M'Lsne's Liver rills, in the eased(' my
wife, who was induced to try one box. by the use of
which she felt so much relief that she procured a sec.
ond. Since she bas takes the second box, her health
has improved so much that she is now better than she
has been for several years. My neighbors bays be-
come acquainted with this fact, so that as soon as
can get money I will buy them by the dozen to sup
ply those in my immediate neighborhood,
