Drugs and spices gold in the East, aro lower in price
than whole, of course the profit and coat of grinding
must be made up by adulteration; dye woods have at
bsust 15 per cent, and in some cases 25 par Gant. of
water added to them. Now water, dust, cornmeal
and flaxseed meal are plenty here, sad we can eat
them in their purity, if so it pleases us, without pay
ing a pepper price with freight and premium added.
