' The following is RU extract from a report published
by the institution at New York. showing the efficacy of
the Bath when all other remedies had failed:
"Rheumatic, syphilitic and gouty affections, attend
ed withulcers. blotches and eruptions of the skin, pat
ticularly when originating from the improper use or
abuse of Mercury, scald-head, salt-rheum, erysiplas,
pimpled face, dry scurvy, leprosy, ring-worm, letters
Sind all other hitherto unmanageable diseases of the
skin. scrofulous diseases urn relieved and cured in a
much shorter period and with more certainty than any
other mode of treatment ever employed."

them ground and chipped at the Franklin Manufacto
ry, Second street.
It is not generally known, but ne , verilteless true, that
Drugs and spies sold in the East, are lower in price
than whole, of course the profit and cost of grinding
must be made up by adulteration; dye woods have at
least 15 per cent, and in some cases 25 per cent of
water added to them. Now water, dust, cornmeal
and floxseed meal ore plenty here, and we can eat
them in their purity, if so it pleases us, without pay
ing a pepper price with freight and premium added.
