THE L kTE MURDER.
Edward Fell Bond, the man who committed the a
trocious and seemly inexplicable deed on the Shell
rand on Friday evening, was found dead early on Sat
urday morning in the woods. He had three shot
wounds in the face, the brain having been penetrated,
f r ensiwhich we infer he must beve discharged the three
remainingbarrels of the revolving pistol at once, and
shortly after he had murdered Miss O'Brien. The
siorpie was forthwith.removed to. the 2d Municipality
watch house, said au inquest held over it by Coroner
P a vi a .—verdict. suicide.
It tweets Irma whet has been gathered from MI s.
Lennon, that Bond came to her house in Love street,
3d Municipality.on Friday with linen to sell, rind then
asked them. to take s ride to the lake. They weal.
nn' their arrival he ordered a dinner. During the
time it was prepttring, they all walked ow together.—
liteonverottion Bond asked them how they would
iuke to take a ride to Heavenont which Mrs. L. replied,
*he would not like to go on an empty stomach. They
took dinner, when a similar question being put t
o o the thm,
Catharine said she would like to go thither fm
church! This language of the min together with a
certain peculiarity of manner, excited some uneasi
ness is Mrs. Unman; and she urged their immediate
return. Bond was very taciturn on coming along.
