CAPT. KIDD'S VESSEL
Recovery of At Regtaiitsq"Lie Vessel of the eel
ebrateif . .Piistle, - -aispl 'KUL—This long disputed

about to be solved. Near auto the spot where Kidd

diving bells and other apparatus of the most recent
invention have been , procured, and some of the most
efficient divers and submarine artists have been enga

end.weli‘norptainted with such matters. It has even
'been supposed that the vessel, when kiettroyetl, had ti

‘'caleitiatei to amount from one to ten millions sterling,
as lt is known that his &predations were of a most ex

other valuables fell into his hands but williort time pre
viCK/A to his capture, which took place a few days after
the destruction of his vessel, and this property has
aever been accounted for. Whether these treasures

to be the case; it must amply refra._7 . the enterprising

from Scotland to the port of Auckland in that island,
and, knowing the advantages of temperance princi

on board the vessel in which they wess embarked. At
first he experienced some difficulty, but long before
they arrived at the Equator, he had succeeded in win
