are intrinsic value and local advantages of this proper
sty being properly appreciated, we need not say that
few if any situations in the State, offer a fairer chance

of a large Anthracite Fsirnace has been commenced at
*Reading, by our enterprising fellow citizen,Dr. Gee.

vtitatplace, have it in gontemplation to build a similes
, in c o /omelet' with their extensive Rolling Mill
<--and Nail Factury. he Furnace at Shantokin, Nov

blast, and working to admiration—all the Furnaces
Danville, are either under way, or preparing for a
Aarge business—and the Montieur Iron Company, are
-..isbout putting up a now Rolling Mill, cpon the most
extensive scale of any in the United States, at an esti
, .rnated cost of about $lOO,OOO. The splendid Rolling
;Miff, at Willtasbarre, the Machinery and Casuals
:for which wei executed by our townsmen, Messrs.
Hayward & Snyder, is going on most prosperously—
and the furnace at Lackawanna, a few miles above
- Wilkesburre, we learn is doing a very profitable bu
• illness.
And last though not least, the good people of Stains
,-.bergh, who certainly possess many natural ladvintages
'Wee the successful prosecution of the irotrbitsiriess, ale
in high spirits, if we might judge from , the following
Editorial by Col. Webb, of the "Columbia flemocrat,"
published at that place :
"Our beautiful village has been filled with strangers,
• mostly iron masters, for a week or two past, making
..examinations fur situations - fur the building of Fur
maces. The superior advantages that the vicinity of
Bloomsburg"' pospe*suver any other locition in this
section of country, are beginning to he appreciated by
business men. which will coon render it a large iron
laitrumnfacturing mart. The immense body of Iron Ore
and Limestone, in the immediate vicinity of the canal,
of the ray best enaility, with situations on the bank
of the - banal for the erection of furnaces, unsurpassed
for all practical purposes, and the facility with which
coal can be obtained from the Valley of Wyoming,
„presents inducements to capitalists to make invest
'menu in the Iron business ttutt cannot be easily found
elsewhere. -
" The Bloomsburg Rail Road Iron company are

LIVER COMPLAINT cured by the use of Dr

I'ills, Mr, Wm. Richards, of Pittsburgh, Pa„ was
entirely cured of the above distressing disease. His
syniptoms were pain and w:ight in the left side, loss of
appetite, counting, acid eructations, a distension of the
stomach, sick headache, furred tongue, countenance
changed to a citron color, difficulty of breathing, dis
turbed test, attended with a cough, great debility, with
other symptoms indicating great detengement of the
functions of the liver. Mr Richards had the advice
of several physicians. but received no relief, until u
sing Dr Darlich's medicine, which terminated in effec
ting a perfect cure.
