The Democratic Committee - of Correspondence for
the minty of Allegheny met, pursuant to the call of
the Chairman, at die house of H. Cassiday, on Satur
day tbe Pith May, 1844: when
Received, That a County Convention be called to
meet at the new Court House in the city of Pittsburgh,
'Oa V.Vedeeaday the 19th day of June neat, for the pur
posaef wortinatinga County Ticket, to be supported
~by the „Democratic citizens at the ensuing October
Alection.
• In,pussaance of the foregoing resolution, the Demo.
merits citizens of the various Townships. Districts and
Boroughs le the county, aretequested to meet at their
usual phteen on Saturday , the 15th Junenekt, and elect
each twirdeleigates to meetin County Convention on
Wednesday the 19th June. The Meetings in the various
Welds, Pitt Township. and Borough's of Sirming

ing the purchaser the right of taking at his bid any

hundred dollers;and provided further. that none of the

dollars per share, above the par valise of the share or
shares by him purchased, then and in s uch cas e t he
said •purchasiers shall pay five dollars on account and
in part of each !there thus purchased, the said sums to
be paid in money. (or in the certificates of loan of the
Crimmonwealth of Pennsylvania, at the option of the
purchaser.) .
