Mr Straub had some four or 'five hundred dollars
worth of made up work, stowed away in the cellar of

The 2d Presbyterian Church, was not insured, aL
though there was a plate on it, which induced the
belief that it was.
A number of robberies were committed during the
night upon property that had been removed from the
burning tenements. One man lost two bedsteads, 'mo
ther 10011 t of his clothing; and another, two rifles; rind
three hones are missing from the Bazar Stable.
Messrs Marshall &Sous sustained no loss, and the
statements in - the morning papers of yesterday are
therefore incorrect.

day, we noticed no less than ten boats taking in large
Gemmel, and a goodly number discharging. The en
tire wharf from Smithfield to Ferry was covered with
hairs's, hogsheads, boxes, bales, iron, glass, nails,
and looked as animated and lively as it could
