for rhePlanter'a and Union Banks. amount to $7,000,
000 besides interest. The whole tan be paid by the
levy of a tax of about a of 1 per cent. on the assessed
property of the State.
TEA IN NORTR CAROLINA
The Richmond Enquirer pubiishes the following
extract from it letter from Mr. Nowltill Puckett, at
Lsyzitsville, Granville county, N. Carolina:- - I have
procured the seed of the CilillOSlS Tea so much used
iu America. It is genuine, matures perfectly well in
our Climate, and can he raisi-d in abundance with very
little trouble. The vast amount of money that muot be I
laid out for tea every year, induces me to hirers you
at this time. My wish is to put it in eire.niatian, thro'
