CURE OF A CANCEROUS SORE.
Soto Szno, January 21,1841
Deafer Benjamin Brandesti—Honored Sir:Owing to
you a dent of gratitude that money cannot pay, I am
induced to make a politic acknowledgembut of the benefit
my wise has derived from your Invaluable pills. About
three years this winter she was taken with a pain in her
ankle, which soon became very much inflamed and
swollen, so much so that we became alarmed, an d sent
for the doctor Duet ug hisattendanee the pain and swell
tug increased to an alarming degree, and In three weeks
om its first commencing it became a running sore
She could get no rest at night the pain was so great.—
Our first Doctor attended her for six months, and she
received no benefit whatever, the pain growing worse,
and the sore larger all the while. He said if it was heal
ed up it would be r and !h lout he appeared to lie at a
loss how t a proceed iny poor wife still continued
to suffer the most terrible tortures. We therefore sought
other aid In a Botanical doctor, who said when he first
yaw It that he could soon cure the sore, and give her
ease at once. To our surprise he gave her no relief,
and acknowledged that It baffled all his skill.
Thus we felt after having tried during onewhole year
the experience of two celebrated physicians in vain, in
al. - white despair. My poor wife's constitution rapidly
tailing in the prime of her years from her continued
suffering. Under these circumstances we concluded that
we would try your Universal Vegetable Pills, determined
to fairly lea' their curative effects. To my wife's great
comfort the first few doses afforded great relief of the
pain. Witnin one week, to the netonislintent of our
selves and every one who knew of the case. the swelling
and the inflammation began to cease so that'he felt quite
easy, and would sleep comfortably, and, after six
weeks' use she was able to go through the house, and
again attend to the management of her family. which
she had not done for nearly 14 months; In a little over
two months from the time she first commenced the use
of your invaluable Pills, her ankle was quite sound, and
her health better than it had been In quite a number of
years before. I send you this statement after •wo years
test of the cure, considering it only an act of Justice to
you and the public a' large.
