•PITIBBURGII MANUFACTORERS.—The Chronicle
ansbiethat the article of Cotton Sheeting, is now large
ly manufactured by Messrs BLACK3TOCA BELL,& CO.,
of Allegheny city. They have forty-two looms in op
eration, and turn out daily-some fifteen hundred yards
of extellent sheeting. In all the articles of cotton
manufactures, Pittsburgh will in a short time supply
thesehok. west. Many fabrics are sold at prices more
advancageons than they can be purchased for in the cast,
and the advantages oflocality arc so obvious to every
one, that western merchants must give our city the
prefereDoe, when they understand that in all respects
the goods turned out from the Pittsburgh Factories am
equal to any manufactured in the country.
JANES DUNLOP, Esq., declines speaking, at the Lib
erty mooting as advertised in the Gazette. This Lib
erty movement comes from the antimasons; they feel
that tbci: old humbug is exploded, and there is now
.no organized party in the county so congenial to their
Coultas' as abolitionists.
