Ur We have received a communication purport
ing to have been written by "A Lady," complaining
of the unaccommodating disposition done of the clerks
--a .urniddle aged man"—at the Post Office. If our
correspondent will make known her grievances to the
principal of the °Tice, we have no doubt but it would
be reformed more promptly than by making the com
plaint anonymously through; a newspaper. If the
"middle aged man" has been surly to the ladies who
call at the window—a charge which we can scarcely
crelite—w,i are certain that a word to the obliging
Post Master would cause an immediate improvement
in his manners, and insure the fair sex a more polite re
ceptioa at the Post Office window.
THE A.CLUEDUCT.—Where did some of our contem
poraries obtain their information that the Aqueduct is
ligattrimpassable or in a dangerous state? Thttt struc
ture stands firm, and is daily used by boats of all kinds.

'which we noticed yesterday, leaves to-day, at 3 o'clock.
The most liberal arrangements have been made for the
accommodation and comfort of passengers, which add

Louis to-clay, at 9 o'clock A. M. No better boat leaves
this port than the North Bend, nor has any more oblig
ing or gentlemanly officers, as all will admit who travel
with them.
THE VERE.—Hastings re-opens to-night.—He as
sures us that his Company is the best that has ever ap
peared on our boards, and he requests all who ques
tion it to go and see for themselves. The BROKEN
SWORD Mill be performed this evening, with other in
teresting entertainments.
