CATHOLIC 111.toiztsz.—We have received the Sep

not had time to read its contents with care, but from a I H : Devine respectfully informs his friends and the
hasty glance over its pages, we think it contains much pubiic, that he still continues in the Transporting
business, and that he has removed the office of the U.
valuable and int_vcsting matter. S. Portable Boat Line, to No. 45 Water street, next

columns, on the subject of a "connexion with the Nit-

of interest to every Pittsbmgher, and the author wields
one the ablest pens in our city, and understands the

Wegiublish on our first page the proceedings
?of a public meting of the citizens of Allegheny in
relation to a Steamboat Ilarl)or . on the Allegheny

we fear all the fine reas3nin; of our neighbors in
favor of their city will be lost.

he he so fortunate as to be elected, in any manner at
tempt to resist this salutary reform; should it reach
the office of County Commissioner.
