CURE OF A CANCEROUS SORE.
SING Sten, January 21.1841
Doctor Beals:llia Bratuirsth—honored Sir: Owing le
you a debt of gratitude that money cannot pay, 1 am
induced to make a public acknowledgemhut of the benefit
my wife bas derived from your Invaluable pills. About
three /ears this winter she wastaken with a pain in her
ankle, which soon became very much inflamed and
swollen, so much so that we became alarmed, and sent
- for the doctor. During his attendance the pain and swell
ing increased to an &tortillas degree, and In three weeks
from its first commencing it became a running sore.—
She could get no rest at night tile pain was so great.—
Oct' first Doctor-attended her for six months, and she
received no benefit whatever, the pain growing worse,
and the sore larger all the while. He said If it was heal
ed up it would be her death, but he appeared to he at a
loss how to proceed, and my poor wife still continued
to suffer the most terrible tortures. We therefore sought
other aid In a Botanical doctor, who said when he first
saw it that he could soon cure the sore, and give her
ease at once. To our surprise he gave her no relief,
and acknowledged that It baffled all his skill.
Thus we felt after having tried during one whole year
the experience of two celebrated physicians In vain, In
absolute despair. My poor wife's constitution rapidly
tailing in the prune of her years from her continued
stinting, Under these circumstances we concluded that
we would try your Universal Vegetalle Pills, determined
to fairly test their curative effects. To my wife's great
comfort the first few doses afforded great relief of the
pain. Within one week, to the astonishment of our•
belve., and every one who knew of the case, the swelling
and the in flammalloo began to cease so that she felt quite
easy, and would sleep comfortably, and, sir, after six
weeks' use she was able to go through the house, and
again attend to the management of her family, which
she had not done for nearly 14 months. In a little over
two nt.tuthe from the time she first commenced the use
Or your invaluable Pills, herankle was quite sound, and
her health better than it had been in gotten number of
years before. I send you this statement after twe years
test of the cure. cunsiderin: it only an act of justice to
you and the public at large.
We are, with much gra itude.
Very respectfully,
TIMOTHY 4. ELIZA A. LITTLE.
P. S. The Botanical Doctor pronounced tbe sore can•
Cef OUS, and finally said no good could be done, unless the
whole of the flesh was cat off, and the bone scraped.—
Thank a kind Providence, this made us resort to your
pill!, which saved us from all further misery, and for
which we hopes'be thankful. 'l'. 4. E. L.
