a mistake; ours was entered on Sunday 1
morning by an individual named Sterling,l
who appropriated to his own use a fur cap
''' and a pair of summer pants. He took a
coat from a nail on which it was hanging,
_ and finding that it was riot new ,or perhaps
not being in need of the article, carefully
laid it upon a desk, and decamped. Nosh
- ing has been missed but the cap and pants.
The Police nabbed him yesterday in
company with the "Irish Nagur," when
the cap, a coat and some other articles were
discovered in his possession. He was seen
going into a tailor's shop, where it is sup
• ptssed he made a deposite_ of a part of his
"hinder.

nated Hog Island,' about eleven miles front the city of
