CURE OF .4 CANCEROUS SORE.
01110 &me, January 21,1841
Doctor Bertjultie BeandestA—Honored Sir: Owing to
you a debt of gratitude that money cannot pay, I am
induced to make a public aeknew ledgernhat of the benefit
my wife has derived Item your Invaluable pills. About
three years tills winter she mistaken with a pain In her
ankle, which soon became very much inflamed and
swollen, so much so that we became alarmed, and sent
for the doctor. During bisalitendanee the pain and swell.
Ing increased to an alarming degree, and In three weeks
from its first commencing it became a running sore.—
She could get no rest at night the pain was so great,—
Our first Doctor attended her for six months, and she
received no benefit whatever, Hie pain growing worse,
and the sore larger all the while. He said If it was heal•
ed up it would he her death, but he appeared to be at a
loss how to proceed, and my poor wife still continued
to suffer the moat terrible tortures. We therefore sought
other aid In a Botanical doctor, who said when he first
saw it that he could soon cure the sore, and give her
ease at once. To our surprise he geve her no relief,
and acknowledged that it baffled ail his skill.
Thus we felt rifler having tried during one whole year
the experience of two celebrated physicians In vain, in
absolute despair. My poor wife's constitution rapidly
tailing in the prime of her year. from her continued
suffering. Under these circumstairces we concluded that
we would try your Universal Vegetible Pllls, determined
to fairly tee* their curative efferts. To my wife's great
comfort the first few doses afforded great relief of the
pain. Witnin one week, to the astonishment of onr•
selves and every one who knew of the case, the swelling
and the I n fia mmat ion began to cease so that she felt quite
easy, and would sleep comfortably, and, air, after six
weeks' use ehe was able to go through the house, and
again attend to the management of her family. which
she had not dine for nearly 14 months: In a little over
two months from the time she first commenced the use
of your invaluable Pills, her ankle was quite sound, and
her health better than it had been to quite a number of
years before. I send you this statement eller two years
test of the cure. considering It only an act of justice to
you and the public al large.
We are, with much gra itode,
Very respectfully,
TIMOTHY 4. ELIZA A. LITTLE.
P. P. The Botanical Doctor pronounced the sore can
cerous, and finally said no good could he done, unless the
whole of the flesh was Mt off. and the bone scraped.—

which we hopes be thankful. T. 4. E. L.
