Mr. EDITott.-1 have been frequently
asked by persons what Preachers would
he employed at in an Industrial Assoc's
non. a,lt room to answer for all, that no
class of men would be more useful in such
a community. Who would be so capable
(,f taking charge of the reboots of the As.
sociation, of at ending all religious meet•
inns and ministering to the spiritual wants
of the members. Indeed,at least one 'heilo— N..
wou'd be indispensable.
But it might be thought that this would
create sectarianism. I cannot think so, I
have known Preachers to teach school for
years and never once ititerftre with the
peculiar opinions of pupils. A clergyman
of true Chtistian liberality, would be the -
most useful member of an Indus-Hal Asso-
RIGHT.

The above was handed to us by an ar
dent friend of Association. He is rig h t eo
far as he goes. SOme people seem to
think that because a man enters one of the
professions, he is ever after incapable
of labor. This is a great error, and.partict
ularly would it be so in Association. We
woul,l not that a Clerwyma ), a Lawyer. a
Physician, or any man should be fs.rced to
labor, but we believe that to make industry
attractive, as it would be under such esys•
tem, m n would fe,l ill at ease when idle.
As proof pusitive of this, look at the • fire
men id the city of Pittsburgh. What is
more 'abut ious and disagreeable than to
get out of a comfortable bed at midnight,
and go Out into the tvet and cold to work
for how 3 on an engine? Are there not
hundreds who who do this, hut who would
not work for a living, if they could
help it; 10il why? Simply because they
l el rig til a Company—they are not fur-r
ced directly or indirectly—they have an
