rapidly. The weather was not very lavorable
for out-door transactions. The Bares that

BACON—The market lor new Is firm, with a

The intense cold weather yesterday put a stop
to transactions generally and <hl in particular.
The stock tooperate with Is unusually small.
Ice was forming la both rivers very rapidly.
The receipts yesterday by the river amounted to
1,146 bbls. This will be the last receipts - we
shall have until the weather changes. The
Urilda, Ida Rees, Echo No 2 an l Leclair reach
ed port after a cold tnp from Oil City. They
will not venture another trip back. Refined was
in good demand, particularly for export west.
Prices have undergone no change; we continue
to quote Free at 88c per gallon, and Bonded at
88c. The sales were as follows;
CRUDE—Tne sales yesterujiy were limited.
Holders generally .werenot ottering their stucks,
being of the opinion that high* r prices will soon
be the order of the day. Saleß 6) l.bls, 4ttc, pkga
