The oil market was active on Monday
especially for Crude. Holders were disposed to
ask en advance. The receipts were small.
There were but few parcels to operate with.
The river to Oil City.oontinues in fine naviga
ble order, The market at the wells and at Oil
Oltrwas Srih. The steamers Urtlda and Ad
vance left for Tkmesta with good trips. The
arrivals include the LeOlaire No. '2 and Petu
Ha. Below will be found the sales that came
under our notice. .
ORUDE—Heavy'oil was in demand at a slight
Advance. .Sales 800 bbls, .4e, packages returned;
300 bbls do light 330; 430 do barrels included 40c;
100 do allo, and 100 do 89c, same conditions; too
hbliinbek 84c.
REFINED—Market was Orrn, with a moder
ate demapd.
