OHIO RIVER BRIDGE
IitiOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT
ON MONDAY, THE 24th DAY OF OC-
TuBER, 1884, the liolliday's Cove Rail Road
Company will. under the authority of its chars
ter from the Legislature of Virginia, anti under
the Act of Congress declaring the Railway
Bridge at Steubenville a lawful structure, com
mence the elevation of the channel span of Bald
Bridge, and f„a this purpose it will tlb necessary
temporarily to obstruct the three hundred feet
designed as a ohannel•way.
Attention of persons engaged in navigation is
called to this provision of the second section of
the Act of Congress, - "and the officers and crews
of all vessels and boats navigating said river,
are required to regulate the use of their said
vessels and boats and of any pipes:or chimneys
belonging thereto, so as not to interfere with the
elevation construction and use of said Bridge."
All persons are also notllllo that theipan next
west of the'channel span is erected at an eleva
tion of 66 feet above low water, and there is a
water-way exceeding two hundred feet, between
