We notice that bus• nese is vastly improving, and oil is now de manding higher prices than formerly. It is probably owing to the important fact that so .large a number of our community are investing their money so willingly, not to say so eagerly, as the prospect Is that by a timely investment in oil stooks they may realise /Inn sums of money. When the supply is not equal to the demand of any product prices must necessarily be enhanc ed, and as all, the. petroleum that is brought to market finds . otifettrus purchasers, it would ap pear that its consumption is becoming more general than it was heretofore, and consequent ly a greater supply is required to satisfy the im mense demand of consumers. This circumstance will undoubtedly tend to increase the trade and enrich those who may have an Investment in It. Owing to this reason those who have hereto- fore invested but comparatively small sums in this great article of trade are becoming cheerful and invest more freely, while those who before abstained from making investments are now in duced by the gratifying state of affairs to try their fortune also.
