PILES OF

Below will be found a eeelkdleale from one of the
most respectable citizens of ii'il,kioo township in
regard to Dr. Keyser's Lindsay' Blood Searcher.
The Doctor's certlficales are wilhin reach, and no
one need be deceived in regard to hit preparations
Da. Gao. H. KEYSER :—I became amcted with
Piles about twenty years ago, and every year
they were growing worse, so as to trouble me
very much, so much s.. at times as to unfit me
for work. Soractime4 1 was so bad that I could
not do anything on account of them, they came
out on me as large as a hieltory nut. I had tried
a great deal of medicine for them. I used to buy

vim Liars and pamphlets that fell In my way, but
I could not get cured, sometimes they would do
me some good for a little while, but afterwards
they would return again as bad as ever. I also
applied to -two Doctors who visited me at my
house and gave me some medicine but It would
not do, I count not get well. Over a year ago I
got an advertisement of your Lindsay's Blood
searcher, made by yourself—when yo❑ sold It to
me You told into one bottle would not cure me,
Ti that my whole system would have to be re-
newed by the medicine before I got well. 1
bought one bottle and took it home with me and
used it according to your directions. I then call-
ed to see you again, when you said I could no
expect much benefit from one bottle. I bought
ft on, one bottle se n time, until! had used five
bottles. After this quantity had been used, I
was entirely well of the Piles, which had tortur-

NOTICE TO ALL CONCERNED.—
Among a certain clans of self-important peo
ple there is a peculiar feeling of contempt attach
ed to all physicians that advertise and treat the
diseases named in this ward, (PR./TATE DISEA3ES,)
why this should be, they nor no one else can tell.
Are they not aware that all physicians treat dis
eases of every denomination, in fact solicit just
the Very diseases that are so obnoxious to these
very refined parties. I suppose they would not
let one of their family go to a party that has de
voted years for their benefit, because he ad, ern
see the fact, anti their family physician says he Is
a humbug so he can get the case. often he has
almost deprived the party of his life. He comes
at last to the physician that advertises—how (-IBC
are they to know t Are they not aware that Sir
Astley Camper, Sir Benjamin Brodie, Sir Charles
Ball and M. Paul litcord devoted years in the
treatmentof these diseases I These men are held
up as shining lights in the medical world ; I don't
assert that all men are worthy tlint publish, still
there are a great number of them that are. I have
devoted myself to the study and treatment of
Paivarx Diseases upwards of 411 years, and
without egotism can say I have saved hundreds
from years of misery and untimely death. Sly
treatment is confined to the vegetable altogether,
'as I think it is the best and most certain. It is lu
my power to bring hundreds of certificates if I
thought It necessary to certify to my general suc
cess : but my long residence in this city Is suffi
cient proefwithatit adtintginore. - Spermatorrhea
and all diseases arising from it are cured in
much shorter time than heretofore. It behooves
every young man and woman to be careful in se
lecting a physician. The different advertisements
that are seen in our papers are of no worth, and
no benefit will arise from answers than only loss
of health and money. Hundreds are cured annu
ally by my new remedies. Address BOX 800.

The above are the revised rates of advertising
as established at a late meeting of the newapa
per proprietors of this city. These are but a
slight advance over the .old rates, and in reality
are still under the figure that the stringency of
the times demand. Roth eastern and western
publishers are much in advance of this schedule,
it is yet possible that Pittsburglipublishers
may he compelled to advance the schedule still
farther. The continually advancing cost of la
bor, paper, ink, and every essential to printing
and publishing makes this action of publishers
necessary and obligatory. As nothing is now
made upon the subscription of newspapers, for
the reasons above stated, it is required that the
deficiency be made up from advertising or not at
all. We hope this plain statement of the Case
will be reason andsiptilfamenough for our liber
al and enterprising
.buainess men. They have
heretofore accertied . a generous plikronage, and
when a vital question-tike the present arises
they will not, we ,know, be found holding back.

Southern Sews from Parts.
I have had a long interview this niom
ing with a distinguished literary gentle
man who has resided in Paris- ever
since the spring of 1891, and who, indeed,
will return to that city in a few weeks
being here at present .merely on busi
ness. If this gentleman could be pre
vailed on to give to the world all that has
come under his own direct observation
relative to the diplomacy of the "South
ern Confederacy' (as it is called there)
in Paris, and the attempted diplomacy
of Mr. Dayton on the part of the United
States, and to the gradual development.
of the plans of the Emperor Napnlekain

ico, it would constitute a - pamphlet - Us

be all true, and the facts of wuten wow
show in what a disgraceful position we
have been placed among the family of
nations In consequence of the imbecility,
obstinacy, and fanaticism of the present
Administration. Instead of recognizing
the fact, and acting upon it, that diplo
macy, and above all, the diplomacy at
the French court, requires the exercise
of the very highest mental ability, the
umst enlarged understanding, and the
most brilliant qualities, both of manner
and person, and above all of that expe
rience which can only be the result of
long acquaintance and familiarity with
the practical diplomatists of Europe;
the Administration Sent to Paris, and
has kept there as our minister and rep
resentative during the whole of the
present fearful crisis in our national
histoiy, a man who, while he is an_es

of every quality which ought to be con
sidered necessary even in the humblest
clerk or attache in his office ot Pella
He is entirely ignorant of the French
language; and his ignorance of the very
rudiments of the science of diplomacy,
and his lamentable deficiency in tact
and manner', places not him but the
country he represents, entirely at the
mercy of Napoleon and the practiced
French diploMatists.

If this were all, it would be bad enough.
But, on the other hand, the tebel author-
Ries at Richmond have been wise enough
to send to Paris, as their representative,
a man who, to say the least; fills the po
sition of a foreign embaseader with cred
it to himself and with advantage to his
country. In spite of the difficulties of
his position (for, he has not yet been 'for
mally recognized), Mr. Slidell haS prov
ed himself to be the equal in diplomatic
skill and finesse of the European diplo
matists whom he meets at the French
court. In a social pointer view too (and
you are aware how much depends upon
this in Paris), the representative of the
United States has been continually kept
in the shade by the elegance, the -fre
(money, and the lavish. expenditure of
the entertainments given by the repre
sentative of the Southern States.
It is in consequence of these facts that
Mr. Dayton, and the government that
he represents, has been-deceived aud
overreached on every side by the, south
ern ambassadors. Even before the ar
rival of Mr. Slidell in Paris, the agents
or the South there had made such repre
