guration of Governor Parker was witness
ed by a large crowd. The military com
posed ten or twelve companies, two stied
rons of cavalry, and two. companies o
artillery. A salute was fired and the pro

the State House. The Governor elect
was conducted to the desk, of the Presi
dent of the Senate, when the oath we's ad
ministered.

elaborate detail of State affairs; urged the
