pendent term : George Mountjoy, who
plead guilty to stealing V/6 from the stote

Philadelphia show that he has hitherto
been upright laud honest. William A.
Anderson, who plead guilty to six indict-
ments for forgery, was sentenced upon one'
of them to three years in the same institu•
tiou. Henry Miner, convicted of stealing
goods from the Pittsburgh and Cleveland
Railroad depot, was also sentenced to two
years and two months in the Penitentiary.
John Clark, colored, convicted of false
pretences, was sentenced to three months
in the county jail.

large steamers loaded with troops, left Old
Point on Thursday, and presumes that
they are intended for another expedition,
to some other point. The editor has been
hoaxed, as no steamers, except two delayed
by storm, containing the &spinal Zonaves,

Prisoneis from Richmoncl also say, up to
the time they left, orr Friday morning at
eight o'clock, nothing had been heard
from it there. The rtichmond papers of
Friday contain nothing in relation to the
expedition.

been given, a salute of twenty guns were
fired this morning, and the Fortress im.
