STEADIII 'ATMEN ARRESTED FOR MAN.
SLAUGHTER -The United States Marshal
arrested the following officers of the steam.
er Igo, on Saturday morning, at L3tart
Falls, Meigs county, Ohio, on the charge
of manslaughter: Captain—Wm. Price;
Clerk—H. B. Cunnin , rham; Pilots—Asa
C. Woodward, Levi Chapman; Engineer
—John McKeown. The boiler of the boat
bursted, injuring one men by scalding and
otherwise, so that he died. The parties
were arrested upon the affidavit of the Su•
pervising Inspector of this port, and were
taken to Cmcinria i un Sunday, in charge
of Deputy United St.,tes Marshal Small,
on the steamboat Fannin Mcßurnie. The
Igo was running without license. The ac
cident occurred in the vicinity of Wheel
ing, a short time Once.

cheerful, and made an engagement with
his wife to visit a neighbor in a buggy. He
started to the stable to gat the horse and
bug y ready, and remained so long that
his wife became uneasy and went after
him, when she ieund him suspended by the

flamer and Fredrick Hoorer, four mem
bers of the notorious guerrilla band of
John E. Hays, of Braxton county, were
brought to the Athenaeum last evening by
Captain Shuman of the First Virginia
Cavalry. Two of the party admit that
they were at the sacking of Glenville,
Gilmer county, a few weeks since Ai• rho

belen appeared before Mayor Wilson yes%
terday and made information against Geo.
Woods for an aggravated assault upon his
son, John Freisbelen, who he sw6re was
attacked by Woods while on his way home
on Saturday night, struck on the head with
a stone or some weapon and knocked
down. The blow produced a large wound
in the head and severe injury. Woods
was arrested and admitted to bail to an.
