Flag, dated off Charleston, Oct 16:—
“Yesterday we saw a ship.standing
in, evidently intending to run the.klock
ade. We started in pursuit, hut they

all hands landed before overtaking her.
We boarded her and found her to be the
ship;Thomas Wattson, formerly of Phil
adelphia, from Liverpool,' of and for
Charleston, laden with, salt,- flahnel and

and then set the ship on fire, which is
now burning and nearly consumed. Th«
