temporary building on the lot where the Duquesne
Depot recently stood.

Mayor, Alderman and Citizens of Pittsburgh, in

nerehy enaotedand ordamed by the authority of
the aaino, That full authority is hereby given to the
pennaylvalda Railroad Company to erect a tempo
rary frame building, for the receipt and shipment
of freight, on. the lot of ground to the city of
Pittsburgh upon which the Duquesne Depot re
cently stood.

DROWNED.--A sad accident occurred on
Wednesday last at Moravii, five miles
from New Castle, on the Erie Canal As

ACCIDENT.—On Tuesday evening, John
Bell, who resides near New Castle, was
re!urning home with some empty barrels,
and just after crossing the Neshannock
creek bridge, the wheel went into a rut,
causing the barrel upon which Mr. Bell
was seated to eapsize, and he was precipi.
tated to the ground with such violence as
to literally peel his skull bone for some
four Inches, leaving the bone entirely bare.
