Every factory capable of making blankets, even
ton flinsll loom, should at once be put in opera
tion. Liberal contracts will be g;von to all such.
blankets should be wool grey, 7 feet long by 6
feet 6 inches wide, and weigh full 6 pounds, with
the letter P. V. in black, 4 Inches long, In the cen
tre of each blanket.
Stockings will be needed the coming winter—
half hose or socks, good sires, one'fourth pound
each. Let ore. y mother, wife and sister knit one
or more pairs.
Let associations be formed in each county, with
a treasurer at the county seat, with whom the
tockings can be deposited and forwarded to the
military atom at Ilarraibtug. The United Mates
contract priLe, twenty-live cents per pair, will be
paid to each county treasurer, and thus a fund CAD
be raised to supply the wants of volunteer families
to which every patriotic woman in the state can
