FALL we.a.-ifousz.—The process of opening' Washington street. into Liberty ,has underinined'a - narriber of houses on that street, or at least rendered their foun. dations very insecure. About half NM, eleven o'clock yesterday morning, a three story brick, altered from a two story by building a new wall under it where the dirt had been removed by the reduction of grade, fell with a crash and is now a heap of ruins. A young man named John Kemp had been at work in the cellar brit had fortunately left a few minutes before the fall, thus saving himself from being crushed .to death. The house was on the Western line of Washingthn street, a few doors above Prospect and was unoccupied 'while repairs were in progress. It was .owned by Rev. I. PRINCE NAPOLEON AND ILI.TE TO VI,iIT The Court Martial of Colone SMALL PDX RAGING AT MANASSAS Sr. Lours, Aug 15 —The correspondent of the Democral, writing from Springfield on the 12th, tarnishes a detailed account of the battle of Wilson's Creek. The main facts have been already telegraphed. The enemy's camp extended along the Creek for three miles, enclosed by high ground on each side, upon which the greater part of the engagement was fought. It does not appear that the rebels were driven back for any considerable distance, but their charges were also repulsed and they burned a large amount of camp equipage and baggage to prevent its capture. The ene my bad twenty,4ve pieces of artillery and a very large body of cavalry. Gen. Siegel attacked the enemy from the .outheast as soon as he heard from Gen. Lyon's command, and drove them back half a mile, taking possession of their camp, which extended westward to the Fayetteville road. Here a terrible fire was poured into his ranks by a regiment he had permitted to advance within a few paces, supposing it to be the lowa Ist. His men scattered considerably, and Col. Solomon's could not be rallied, consequently General Siegel lost Ave of his guns, the other being brought away by Capt. Flag, who com palled his prisoners to drag it off the field. Our troops captured about four hundred horses. Our loss is about 200 killed and from 600 to 700 wounded.— That of the enemy cannot be less than double ours, their tomes having moved in larger bodies and our artillery playing on them with terrible effect. Lient.gotionel Band Wins. etinurtained the rebel come at Boonville and. has since acted as aid to Gran Price was taken prisoner. The body of_ Gen. Lyon hal been embalmed for con veyance to his friends in Connecticut. The following are additional names of officers killed : Captain Maros, of Id Iowa; Capt. Brown, do. The reported death of Maj. Shaffer is unconfirmed. Among the wounded are Capt. Gottanhoek, let Iowa; Capt. Swift, lat. Kansas; Capt. Holton, do.; Capt. Gilbert, Ist Infantry; Cot Cole, let Idissour ; Lieut. Brown, do.
