PLANTINO TREES.—TLC latter part of tins
month trees of all sorts may be planted. In a
rich, well worked fruit and vegetable garden,
no special preparation of the ground will be
required. But, if it is otherwise, trenching to
the depth of eighteen inches to two feet, and
mcnurin with rich, well-made compost, will
be necessary. A thorough drained soil is ab.
solutely necessary for the successful cultivation
of fruit trees. The fruit garden should be
planted mainly with dwarfs of the' variotp3
sorts of fruit—pear, apples, peaches, cher
ries, &c.
