" As long as thou livest and hest breath in thee give not thyself over to any. For better it is that thy children should seek to thee, than thou shouldst stand to their cour tesy. At the time when thou shalt end thy days and finish thy life, distribute thine in heritance." "Are those words in the Bible ?" asked the old man. "Indeed they are," replied the Judge; though they occur in one of the Apocryphal Books." "No matter for that," he replied. " I will take the advice." And the sequel proved, added the Judge, that it was well lie did. 3uctton mates. - - PRATT'S, PRATT'S, PRATT'S 225 Annual Sale, 225 Annual Sale, 22d Annual Sale of Valuable Books at Auction, Books at Auction, Books at Auction.—On TUESDAY EVENING, October llth, and the following evenings this week. at the Commercial Sales Rooms, 14 Fifth street.
