PITTSBURGH POST
At a village &led "The Centre," in the
Northern part of Vermont, the boys . and girls
let month, had a glorious dance and it gaftinie
generally. A vo - uth, not having the fear of
the bottle before his eyes, managed to get de
cidedly in the fog upon this unwonted occasion,
and slyly withdrew under the bed of the ladies'
dressing room to recruit. No sooner hart he
closed his eyes than a pair of blooming damsels
came in from the - hall, and began adjusting
their disordered ringlets. The girls had
tongues, which ran on in this wise : " What
a nice dance we're having! Have you heard
anybody say anything about me, Jane?" Ln,
yes, Sally ! Jim Brown says ho never saw you
look so handsome as you do to-night. Have
you heard anybody say anything about me?"
" About you! why, sartin ; I heard Joe Flint
tell Sam Jones that you was theprettiest-dress
ed girl in the room." Whereupon the dear
things chuckeled, "fixed up" a little more,
and were starting otf gli blv for fresh gossip, when
our half-conscious friend raised himself upon his
elbow, and quite intelligibly, though slowly.
inquired, —l4s', you heard any .berry say any
thing about m.. 1 girls ?" Phansy their pheel
inks "at this juncture. They lied with an e•.:-
plosive scream.

and practical experience of unlimited extent, Drs. (3_4.

tending this class of diseases, are made to become as
harmless as the simplest ailings of a child.
SEMINAL WEAN-NESS—Drs. G. & Co. devotes much
of their attention to the treatment of those cases caused
by a secret and solitary habit. which rums the body and
mind, unn tti ng the unfortunate individual for eitherbadd

produced by these early habits of youth are, WeakneSs
of the back and limbs, Palpitation of the Heart, Dya_pep

effects on the mind are much to be dreaded, viz: Loss
of memory, confusion of ideas, depression of Spirits,
evil forebodings.uversion to society, self-distrust, timidi
