N;- The routine of the ernitnpment on Thurs day, in the morning at least, was similar to that of Wednesday. Reveille at four, guard mount at Live, morning drill at six, and break fast at seven, being over, gave those elf guard a rest until ten o'clock, when the drums beat for morning parade. The call was promptly responded to, and soon the entire encampment was in motion. At half-past ten the eighteen companies in at tendance were ranged in line on the field. General Negley now made his appearance, and for an hour or more was employed in drilling the troops. first in the light infantry moc•r ments, and then in the usual brigade drill. Morning duty was over at twelve o'clock, an d all sought their quarters for dinner. As usual, the Greys had splendid tables set et each mess, and many of the visitors dined with them, expre:sing themselves highly delighte••l with their entertainment by the crack company of the encampment. But the choicest dinner was served at the ta ble of the Brigadier General, where some eighty persons dined, among them a number of invited guests, who did ample justice to the viands furnished. The cloth being eleared, champagne w•as pro fusely supplied, end Brigadier General Negley, on behalf of his lady, distributed a mini bar of boquets to the guests, its ridlows: Brigadier General Humbright, Brigadier General Hay, First Brigade, Fourth Division Penmylyania Militia, Major General Wilson, Thirteenth Division Ohio Militia, Major Neil of the .same, Cdpbtin.Coolwr, Monongahela Artillery, Cap tain Roberts of the General's staff, Major Alex ander Hay, and Shesh _Bentley, Esq., of Mo nongahela City. All these gentlemen replied in appropriate terms, ackilOWledging the com pliment. Mrs. kit, I, lady of Captain who was at the table, also received a very handsome briquet from the hands of the amiss ottieer, and the gallant Captain thank ed him, in liar behalf, for the compliment. The press t05. , i.e.1, and neigh sir Plimp ton, of the Dispod,, responded in his usual felicitous style•. At three o'clock drums beat once inure to quarters . , for afternoon ' , snide, and the ',mu llions iris promptly obeyed. The suldiery looked well, and a-lcd weil, performing the difficult manoeuvers of flop field drill, under di rection of General Negley, a model command er, with precision and ease. The time until five o'cleek was thus consumed, and the regiment was then dismissed, and when we left the grounds, soon after six o'clock, all were busy making preparations fur supper. The National Lancers left the ramp after evening parade. Quite a commotion was occasioned during the afternoon, by the arrest of a young Marl who had misbehaved. lie was seated on the fence of the enclosure, annoying visitors, and treating the guard insolently when requested to desist: when the sentry charged he ran, and the captain of the guard detatched six mien to arrest him, who followed to Mrs. Barker's hotel, where he had taken refuge, in pursuit. He ran through the house into the grounds in the rear, but was Soon captured, hrotight back to the camp and lodged in the guard house. The day was a delightful one: though some what warmer than Wednesday, there was a re freshing breeze stirring, which made it more pleasant. The number of visitors was per haps smaller than on the day precious, but in cluded a larger proportion of ladies, many of whom graced the inside of the enclosure with their presence, in carriages and on foot. Good health and good discipline prevailed No bickerings are observed among the soldiers, all being good humored and peacable. This will be the last day of the encampment. AL The morning exercises will be as usual, with a grand inspection drill at ten o'clock. 12.50 ali the soldiery will take passage, in cxtra cars attached to the train which leaves }he camp for;:the city at that hour, come in, . , and parade throtigh the principal street of the nity. Returning by the 4:'4dtrairl, they will be dismissed at six o'clock, when the camp will virtually be broken up, but those who de sire, and which will include perhaps the greater portion of the troops, will remain at the ground until Srturday morning, whey all will return to their homes, we hope well pleased with their brief experience on the tented field. It appears from the testimony of Mr. S. D. King, the engineer, Mr. Lands, the fireman. that he was sitting on the rail with his feet inside the track, apparently sleeping, with his lantern by his side. The night was so foggy that he was not observed until the train, which was run- , ..)ng rtt a nigh rate of speed, v.as within fifty P:et of him. ''Tll6 train was stepped as soon as possible; backed up; and the mangled body was gut aboard: lewas taken to Rochester statiOn, where au inquest was held by Coroner Cou c h on Saturday. The verdict was in accordance with the above facts, exonerating thu engineer and the others connected from all blame. It will be remembered that this same Dee was struck by fl train a tow months since, while carelessly standing too near the track, and had his arm so shattered as to require amputation, tinderstand that very recently he nur tavily escaped being'.killed or..maimed by a train through his own carelessness. There is, it appears, to be a French occupa tion of Italy, temporary, according to the present declamations, but the fortunes of war may transform it to a permanency. The Belgian Independent says that, besides the troops of the division of Trochee, charged with the occupation of Parma and Modena, the division of De Antreinarre is to proceed to Parma, and the division of Librieli to Milan. France is thus to keep fifty thousand men in the Peninsula. Austria, on its side, appears disposed to maintain its army on a respectable footing in The F affirms that, in of the complications which pre vail in Italy, the Emperor nas resolved only to withdraw from Venitia the fourth battallion of twenty-two regitnents of artillery, so that j the forces lassembled in that country will be dimini:hed by only twenty-five thousand men. The American Government has taken lip the subject warmly, and has peremp -1 torily demanded his release.
