PITTSBURGH
_POST.
CAPTAIN EDWARD W. B. St'HENLEY, after
having turned up as a Melaber of-the British
House of Commons,
,has ,beet' summarily
turned'out. It was proVen, on investigation,
that the free and independentvoters of bert
mouth were troubles! with tip itching palm :"
that Captain SchenleY administered to them the
roost potent remedy for this particular form of
disease that is known in the political pharmit
copccia, and that, in consideration of the cura
tive results thus brought - about, his grateful lA
ti en ts:sen t him to ParliaMen Las their represent
ative. So far, then, the account was balanced,
as between the Captain and his-constituents, to
the satisfaction of both parties. .He expend=
ed in their behalf the sum of one hundred
thousand dollars, and
. they were, by just so
much, the richer, if not the better, for his
sadden arrival in the Midst of them. But, al
though he has demonstrated—the opinion of
Addison to the contrary, notwithstanding-
that " Fortune" does sometimes "commaed
success," a Committtee of the House of Com
mons have decided, pewemptorily, that it does
notalways "deserve" it. The Captain, there
fore, has been politely requested to withdraw
his papers, and retire into private life.

TEETH . have now been extensively tested by the
citizens of Pittsburgh, and tho verdict in their favor Is
unanimous. Many horn Laid aside teeth mounted on
Gold plate to avail themselves of the unprovementa
embraced in these new anillaniutiful styles of Dentistry.
Their superiority consists mainly in their perfect adap
t:Ohm to the mouth--their perfect elennliness, being
without crack or crevice for food to find lodgment, and
made of n material on which the juices of - the mouth
cannot net; they are free from all meta llic. taste, corro

great desideratum. an all who wear Gold, Silver, Plati

They ale° combine great id rength with lightness, eom
