At daylight yester; day morning another raid was made against the Hamita..i. resulting in the capture of some fifty nr more of the quadrupeds, wnich ware duly impounded with their brethren which were captured on the first incursion on the piggeries. His machine was tried re cently before the committees of the Pennsyl vania Agricultural Society, and the Philadel phia Society for promoting agriculture. A correspondent of the Country Genat 7 lllol, who witnessed the trial, says: "The result was a most cheering and flattering success. The engine ran a gang of eight fourteen inch prairie plows. The whole eight furrows were handsomely tamed, and up hill and down went the iron team, turning corners with the pre cision and gracefulness of the best trained team. The field was then cross-plowed, and the engine passed over gullies and abrupt elevations without the slightest trouble, and its performance cheered by the assembled mul titude. The plowing wits done at the rate of an acre in twelve minutes. Finally the en gine was detached from the plow, luid hitched to an omnibus, and off it went ovar the trot ting course at a good round pace."
