Horrible Outrage by a Negro in |
Dooley County, Georgia,
Some days ago a dispatch to this
city stated that a negro had been ta-
ken from the jail of Dooley county,
Georgia, and burned by a mob. - The |
Macon Journal of Friday, the 26th ult., |
gives the following account of the
erime which led to so fearful a retribu- |
tion.
From a letter reevived from Mr.
R. Good, of Vienna, and from a con- |
versation with. Me. Madison Jones, of |
this place, who reached. Macon this
afternoon, direct from the scene of the
crimes below related, wo
