The body of Dr. Parkman was identified by

'SERIOUS AFFRAY.
Si. LAOIS, Dec. 4
Last Saturday 1114ht,' Mr. Newton Weimar, a
brother of the late Port Etastei, had an altercation
on'tbe street, with Joa. Theme, a broker, of the
house of Penowd . d.! Co. Pistols were drawn, but
were no steed.
This allernoon, at d o'clock, the parties met In
front Of the Planter'. Hause, where Weimer com
menced shooting at Thames, and Thomas at Wei
mer. Nine abate were fired. Thomas wee ehot
in the breast., the ball glancing and passing round.
When Weimer had exhauated his pistol, he rushed'
on Thomas, and commenced beating him on the
head with a colt. While doing title, Thomas allot
him through the body. The wound is considered
mortaL Thomas may recover, though danger is
apprehended from the blows on the head.
The canoe of the natural was thin:—Some
months since, Thomas failed to recover a large
remittance he had made. and charged the Pont
Master with fraud. Newton Weimer was clerk
in the office, and spat in Thomas' face.
Louts, Nov. 4.
Weisner who was shot by Thomas, died last
eight. Facts have coma to light, entirely exoner
ating Weimer from the charge brought by Thomas,
which Led to the quarrel. It is 11°1141411ns Tboossa
