Wallace, sworn.—Live a square from where the Penn street meetings are held; have been at them trquently; lacier saw any obstruc tion of the street; saw vehicles passing at a trot, heard filthy language rend from books. Den's Theology was one 'of the books he frequently quoted. Mr. Kirkland arose and spoke far some time, until the Court ordered another Witness to be called. Mr- Kirkland then ofrered the books in evi denge. The Court said that the fact thatthe hooka can. tattled filthy:language was no justificution to the defendants, and refused to receive the hooka. The witness (Mr. Wallace) was asked whether he had ever contributed to the support of the de• readapts. The question was Objected to, and the objection overruled. The witness then said he •had bought their paper, but did nothing more.
