207 towns, leaving show forty towns to be heard
from. The result thus far is the election of 117
Wbigs,2S Democrats., and 50 Free Sailers. Tne
lime towns last year returned 92 Whigs, 31 Dem
aerate, and 66 Five:Sailer. The neu Whig gain
that branch of the Legislature, .s therefore, 40
members. Of the 30 members composing tho Sen
ate 22 are Whip. The pope!ar vote tor Go-er
ner in 172 towns chows a Whig gain, as compared
with last year, of 5,221.
The County Treasury of Bedford county, Pa
