of all prices, from fifty cents up to twenty dollars,

'1 he engravings hf ‘ Christ entering Jerusalem,

worthy a conspicuous place in the draw-iog room.
‘Napoleon and hi*f Son,’ and 'Napoleon parting

We likewise obterWp a beautiful engraving of 'the

Before we bring-fßis arUcle to a close, we would
commend a beautiful oil painting on copjier, the
work of a celebrated French artist, called the 'two
violets,' to the notice of every lover of the t-cauii
ful. It is the pretest thing we have seen for a
long time.

BEG leave most respectfully to announce to their
numerous patrons and the public, that they, in
consequence of contemplating a change in their hast
nes». propoke opening the whole of thetr extensive
warehouse, (including all their wholesaio rooms.) for
stalling, and will coutiime open until the first of Feb
aarv, commencing on New Years day, 184 D. Our
(holesule stock, comprising ouo of the most extensive
nd varied assortments of Fancy and Staple Dry
Goods ever exhibited in the western country, will be
offered at lower prices than ever brlore known. Eve
ry article, however choice and desirable, will be ac
cordingly reduced. Upwards of fifty thousand dollars
ofourstock has been recently purchased, the greater
poruon of which ore foreign goods, received at New
S orl by iate European arrivals, which from the late
ness of the reason, oa well as the known pressure iti
the money market, were sold at immense sacrifice* at
public sales al rates varying from twenty-five to fifty
per cent less than similar goods brought the first of the
season. We are therefore confident that our prices for
the time above mentioned will be found to be even
lower tEhn any Eastern wholesale rates.
We anxiously invite all person* to vtsn our estab
lishment, whether they purchase or not, and test the
truth of the above—assuring them that they will incur
no obligation thereby, but confer a favor upon the pro
prietor* Our assortment of Silks, 9hawi», and fine
Ureas Goods will amply repay one for a visit; added
to which, an unusually great display of Domestic
Goods will, we hope, induce all to coil.
Our system of one pnee wil be smelly adhered to.
