J. Barnett, of Cincinnati, and unanimously a
dopied.
Resolved. That the undersigned paasengetson
the steamer Telegraph No 1, of Louisville, on her
trip from Cincinnati to Wheeling, having witnessed
with admiration the good management and unre
mitting industry of her commander, Capt. Jacob
Haxiep, in navigating his boat upwards of two
hundred miles through masses of floating tee, are
unwilling to leave the boat without teoderiug to
him these thanks for his skill and perseverance
which they have witnessed, or without leaving
some acknowledgement of his kind, unremitting,
and gentlemanly attention*.

attentive in the performance of their several du
