Out of eleven ounces of the specimen, ho got 9
ounces and 19 dwta. of pure gold - or in other
words it was 21 and .9-10 carols fine, Mr. Dunle
vy has reserved a small quantity of the gold in the
same state in which it was taken from the placers
of the Sacramento, which he desigus to ossay.in
