Harmer Denny and Jahn Ship• ton Esq. were the only nominees. On the eighth hollot the vote stood, Mr. Shipton - 7 Alderman John Mhjor was tmanimously elected clerk and Mr. James Wright messenger. The Clerk was then iceitructed to announce to the Common Council that the Select Council was organized. COXXON COUNCIL. At half paat.lo o'clock far. IL P. Roberts 0713 called to the chair—most of the members being to their seats. There was a conaiderable arbandamoe of citizens behind the bar of the Council. The chairman said that for the information of die. new members he would read the that page of the rules directing -the proceedings of the calax cil at their organization meetings.
